Straw and Gold

StrawI have my husband and my babe. The little man gnashed his teeth and fled
– I knew his name. Bereft of baubles and ambition, I sit among the
mingled straw and gold and spin.


This post was written in response to the Trifecta Writing Challenge  weekend prompt: take a famous story, poem, book, or fable, and retell it in exactly 33 words.
