New to the Jade Dragon series? Go to beginning>>
When I wished for magic, I was ensorcelled.
When I wished for knowledge, I learned too much.
When I wished to fly, you weighed me down with the broken shell of your desire.
<< Previous Installment || Beginning || Next Installment >>
This post is part of the Jade Dragon series. Though I try to make these installments enjoyable as individual pieces, I highly recommend that you read the series from the beginning to really get what’s going on.

Write 33 words exactly about three wishes that come at a high price to the wisher.

Great continuation of Jade, great entry for the challenge!
Thanks! This one was a little tricky, but fun. I’m off to read the others that have been posted so far.
I haven’t read the previous installments but this was excellent all by itself.
Thank you, Zoe – I am trying very hard to make each installment stand on its own.
The end left me melancholy. This was a thought provoking piece. Now I will be off to read the others.
It’s kind of a melancholy situation, I think. I’m glad it encouraged you to read more!
Being weighed down when your ready to fly is always a struggle. Great continuation of the story. I really do like that series
Very standalone piece. I have read some of Jade, but not enough to remember well.
Very nice extension of Jade, which I have enjoyed very much! This is sadder than the previous installments, which is funny because nobody died in this one.
I shall have to go and read Jade, but this does work really well as a standalone. Sigh … hate to be weighed down when I’m flying, right?
“Broken shell of desire,” how vivid!
