In three words I can sum up everything I’ve learned about tears: they create holes.
This post was written in response to the Trifecta Writing Challenge Trifextra weekend prompt:
Robert Frost one said, “In three words I can sum up everything I’ve learned about life: it goes on.” We want you to do the same. Sum up anything you want, but do it in three words. Your response should mirror Frost’s quote by beginning, “In three words I can sum up everything I’ve learned about–.”
This was really tough. Not coming up with a response, but coming up with one that wasn’t trite, banal, or hackneyed. I settled for three words that could be taken two ways…
Your four short words create a striking imagery in my mind of tears making holes on the surface they hit. Beautiful, figuratively *and* literally!
